Volunteering Gippsland is inviting community members, volunteers, and volunteer-involving organisations to share their experiences through a new regional survey aimed at strengthening volunteering across Gippsland.

From emergancy services and sporting clubs to community groups and local events, volunteers play a vital role in supporting vibrant, connected communities. The survey will help build a clearer picture of how volunteering is evolving, what challenges people are facing, and what support is needed to help volunteering thrive into the future.

Insights gathered will help inform practical actions to improve volunteering opportunities, strengthen support for community organisations, and identify training and resources that would benefit volunteers and volunteer-involving organisations across the region.

The survey is open to:
• Current volunteers
• People interested in volunteering
• Community groups and sporting clubs
• Volunteer coordinators and committee members

Responses will be de-identified and reported in aggregate, with findings shared with local councils and sector partners to help guide future planning and support for volunteering.

Volunteering Gippsland encourages anyone who contributes to their community, or who would like to get involved, to take part.

2026 Community Volunteer Survey
